Job Role: Programme Coordinator - Regeneration Focus

We are recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for a Town Centres Regeneration Programme. This is an interim role for an initial 3-month term with a likely extension and would be based in offices in Kent.

In this role you'll lead the implementation of the Town Centres Programme supporting the Town Centres Strategy. Your duties include collaborating with businesses and stakeholders for projects via the Pride in Place Fund, as well as managing and overseeing various town centre initiatives for regeneration and growth. You'll be responsible for monitoring budgets, excelling in communication and PR, fostering positive relationships with key partnerships like Town Centre Forums, and ensuring coordination with other supporting programmes. Additionally, you'll support the wider Economic Development and Town Centres Team and the Team Manager as required.


Job Duties


  • Manage and monitor the Town Centres Programme within the UK Shared Prosperity Fund for Medway including associated budgets and monitor progress, ensuring key performance indicators are met.
  • Work with businesses and external stakeholders to scope, develop, apply for/deliver projects to support the town centres from the Pride in Place Fund
  • Develop and deliver (or identify/enable other organisations to) implement a range of other town centre projects and feasibility studies designed to stimulate town centre regeneration by utilising the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
  • Ensure synergy and coordination between UKSPF and other programmes and funds supporting the town centres.
  • When necessary, deputise for senior management; represent the Council on stakeholder boards and liaise with Members with respect to town centres and the responsibilities of the role.
  • Support the work of wider Economic Development and Town Centres Team and the overall Team Manager as required

  • Can demonstrate the ability to deal with high levels of work-related pressure, for example from deadlines, interruptions or conflicting demands
  • Is confident in speaking and collaborating with key stakeholders at every level
Qualifications

Essential

A relevant degree in relevant subject area or equivalent.

Desirable

Programme and/or project management qualification e.g., Prince 2

Understanding or knowledge of collaborative approach to regeneration.
