We have an exciting opportunity for a Hotel Maintenance person to take care of both Hotels in Doncaster and Rotherham. Hotel’s infrastructure and plan repair projects in accordance to business needs.
In this role, you should be organised and proactive. Familiarity with electrical and plumbing is essential. Some decorating will be involved. A commitment to health and safety standards is also a necessity.
Your goal will be to ensure our hotel premises are safe and functional for guests and employees alike.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards
- Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms and facilities
- Organise repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests
- Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages)
- Undertake weekly fire alarm testing
- Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
- Maintain budgets, expenses and activity logs
- Work closely with the general manager, reception & housekeeping team and address issues as they arise
Requirements
- Proven experience in Hotel Maintenance or Maintenance Supervisor
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems; hotel industry experience is a plus
- Experience in administrative processes (e.g. maintenance register)
- Ability to spot safety risks and address needs quickly
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
